For the most part 2010 was a good year for me .There was a lot of change, lots of new beginnings. Jason and I launched a photography/webdesign business off ---DZOPASTUDIO in January. I was able to take interesting, unpredictable and fulfilling photos, and have many new clients. I shot some amazing architecturally sound homes, did lots of portrait work, including a wedding in VA in the Shennandoah Valley, some heartwarming pet photos, Senior portraits, and also did a couple x-mas parties with traditional Santa photos to wrap up the year.
May '10 trip to Thailand and traveled with seven of my closest friends. .. took many photos to document the experience. Thailand led to an photo exhibition with one travelmate/artist/friend at SOLO bar in July, which was a fun and successful experience, also a fun way to share the beautiful travels around Thailand.
Aug '10 and Nov "10 -For one of my real estate marketing projects, I put together two different third Thursday artwalk's at the Barton Street Lofts project in West Seattle. (www.bartonstreetlofts.net). Both events had 13 different artists in each available loft. The events got a ton of press and helped the movement of the project also a lot of visibility for local artists. Mostly it was a great way to involve a ton of my dear artist friends in these lofts needed a event to bring people out to see the project.
2010 also brought playing some of my records out at a few different Seattle venues. The Djing experience led to a weekly Rock 'n Roll trivia night with a music diva/friend in Ballard.
So thank you 2010, I feel very fortunate. I consider every day I'm happy and healthy a gift. On the flip side, it was a very tough year for a number of people I know and care about, and to them, I hope 2011 is packed full of goodness and hope. May it be a bright wonderful year for all of us.
